Lone Pine State Park is right on the edge of Kalispell, and is accessible from either the bottom or the top (it is basically located on the side of a mountain). There are several of miles of singletrack and doubletrack trails in the park that are very scenic and great for hiking. If you want to get out in the woods for an after work hike or trail run, this is the place!
From the main junction of 2 and 93, head West on US 2, left on N Meridian Rd, right at Foys lake Rd/509, Left at Lone Pine Rd. (There's signs too.) Drive all the way down to the parking lot. Its a State Park, so its pretty hard to get lost.
